The knitting, it is everywhere.
Harry Dumpty at the DeKalb Public Library, with new kicks
I saw this at the library and heard later that it was a knitter friend of a knitter friend who surreptitiously put these cute stockings on the statue outside the children’s entrance. It was awesome.
The socks stuck around for a few days before someone with absolutely no sense of whimsy or humor complained about them (What was the complaint? They were too bright? They clashed with the stone wall he was sitting on?) and the administration took them off. FAIL.
Boo on humorless jerkfaces! Yay for random handknits cropping up in the wild!
Awesome. So sad someone can’t have a little imagination.
I didn’t realize you were in Dekalb. Do you know Carolyn (Knitting Crimes)?
I love the whimsy of putting socks on the statue! They are also very nice socks. I’m no art major but I thought grey was a neutral which meant it went with every other color. How bah humbug of that person. If I go in and complain will they put them back???
What a jerk. He probably kicks small dogs and yells at children for being on his lawn, too.

That’s awesome! Yay for random acts of knitting!!
We have a Walking to the Sky replica on the CMU campus and I always have the urge to give the people hats, especially during winter.
Yvonne – I think it’s hilarious that the Wikipedia page calls the sculpture “garish” within four words of beginning the article. Bias? What bias?
🙂
Those little booties are so cute! I hate the person who complained, and I would punch them given the chance.
You really make it appear so easy with your presentation but I in finding this matter to be actually something which I think I’d by no means understand. It kind of feels too complicated and extremely broad for me. I am taking a look ahead in your next post, I will try to get the grasp of it!
yes I agreee Here’s some pass forward: Thought for the day? : System going down at 1:45 for disk crashing.
