I’m really trying to slow down a bit and sort through a bunch of stuff (good and blergy), and my brain feels about the size of a walnut. In that spirit, I give you squirrels:
We hung a compressed-seed bird feeder (does that make sense? it’s a bunch of seeds kind of sculpted into a shape, held together by surface tension or edible glue or the will of god) on the tree right outside the livingroom window, thinking it would both feed the birds and keep Miyagi occupied. Kill two birds with one stone, as it were. Har.
Turns out, the squirrels got to it within hours of NinjaHusband hanging it and they chewed right through the twine loop. Crash! Boom! Seeds everywhere, and many, many happy squirrels nomming some tasty sunflower seeds.
And Miyagi couldn’t have cared less about what was going on outside the window.
Birdfeeder = fail.
